The Original Tamale – 1 Dozen Red Chile Chicken Tamales

Chicken stewed in New Mexican Red Chiles, shredded and rolled in Corn Masa, prepared and steamed in authentic Corn Husks. Serve with Rice, Beans, Chile, or along side our other Tamale offerings. Pair with our Hatch Green Chile Tamales for a “Christmas” Plate.

 

Ingredient Statement

Filler: COOKED CHICKEN (CHICKEN, WATER, SEASONINGS(RED CHILI PEPPER, SALT, SPICES, PAPRIKA, DEXTROSE, GARLIC, EXTRACT OF PAPRIKA AND NATURAL EXTRACTIVES OF TURMERIC WITH POLYSORBATE 80.)), CORN OIL,SEASONINGS ( RED CHILI PEPPER, SALT, SPICES, PAPRIKA, DEXTROSE, GARLIC, EXTRACT OF PAPRIKA AND NATURAL EXTRACTIVES OF TUMERIC WITH POLYSORBATE 80.), VINEGAR, MODIFIED CORN STARCH.

MASA: WATER, YELLOW CORN PROCESSED WITH LIME, CORN OIL, SEASONINGS (MODIFIED CORN STARCH, SALT).

Please note: Steam Preparation: Thaw tamales, remove from bag. Heat tamales in steamer for 20 minutes, or to an internal temperature of 165®F.

Microwave Preparation: Wrap 1 to 3 thawed Tamales in a wet paper towel and microwave for 1 to 3 minutes ( based on number of Tamales) or to an internal temperature of 165®F. For best results, do not exceed 185®F.

The key to a great Tamale is maintaining moisture while re-heating. REMOVE CORN HUSK PRIOR TO EATING.
